Description:

We'll pull garlic mustard in the steep area near the basketball court and we'll also plant chokeberry shrubs.

Invasive purple winter and Callery pear will be on our radar too!

 

You'll find us near the basketball courts facing Monroe St.

 

We're taking action to grow tree canopy at Crestmont Park! This event is part of the Winslow-Crestmont Wildlife Corridor project!

 

Duties: Join us to plant bareroot twigs and pull garlic mustard. Volunteers will be bending, hiking as needed, and using sharp tools. Gloves, tools, and safety glasses are provided. 

 

Age of Volunteers: 12 yrs. and up. (Volunteers under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.) Volunteers under the age of 18 must have an Underage Waiver of Liability signed by a parent or guardian. CLICK HERE to complete our digital waiver.

 

Please Note: If you are planning to use this opportunity for community corrections/public restitution hours, you MUST complete this background check form and receive approval from our Community Relations Coordinator PRIOR to arriving for your first volunteer shift. Failure to do so will result in your hours not being counted towards your service requirement.
